Vairagya वैराग्य - the practice of letting go and non attachment. Should be easy! ;)

There's been a lot of turbulence and chaos in my life lately causing me to stress intensely, and my over-thinking brain to come pretty close to exploding. I realized back when I was attending yoga teacher training, and constantly learning how useless worry is, I was a much happier person. It was nice to be gently reminded every week to release fear because life (good and bad) is going to happen regardless of how long I was up fretting at night. I've decided to gently remind myself daily to let go of as much worry as possible and let life unfold. The only real control you have is your reaction to situations and the kind of person you are. But, how do you practice non attachment without becoming cold? And how the hell do you shut your brain off, if even for a little while?!

The difference between non attachment and being detached from life.

Eckhart Tolle and excessive thinking...how to break the pattern and return to stillness.
